Es ist ein schönes Buch. Ich habe Rotz und Wasser geheult. So mitreißend! Ich hab das Buch innerhalb von 2 Tagen durch gelesen. Ich konnte das Buch nicht aus den Händen legen. Ich hoffe es gibt eine Fortsetzung!

Jeder der die anderen Bücher von Jojo gelesen hat wollte doch insgeheim wissen was mit Lou letztendlich passiert.Das Buch ist gut geschrieben. rine schöne abschließende Geschichte. Kommt an "ein ganzes halbes Jahr" von der Spannung her nicht ran und man weiss auch wie die Geschichte ausgehen wird. Was mich aber nicht stört. Dem Charakter sollte man wohl nochmal Spannung verpassen, kam bei mir zumindest nicht an.Daher 1 Stern Abzug.

Ich habe die ersten beiden Bücher verschlungen und konnte nicht aufhören zu lesen. Der dritte Band ist nicht schlecht, aber kommt für mich nicht an die ersten Beiden heran. 2 Sterne Abzug, weil es für ein E-Book zu teuer ist und weil der Schluß total offen ist. Die Geschichte hat kein Ende, gibt es vielleicht noch eine Fortsetzung.

Die absolute Empfehlung!!! Ich war so im Roman versunken, dass ich ihn innerhalb von einem Tag lesen musste! Konnte einfach nicht aufhören und war richtig niedergeschlagen als er vorbei war, trotz einem super geschriebenen Ende. Bitte mehr davon! Ganz großes Lob an die Schriftstellerin

Jojo Moyes schafft es einfach immer wieder, mich nach wenigen Seiten so in die Handlung hineinzuziehen, dass ich unbedingt weiterlesen muss. Wobei mir dieser 3. Teil der Lou-Reihe noch besser gefällt als der zweite.

Ich habe schon viele Bücher von J. Moyes gelesen. Dieses war das erste, bei dem ich den Gedanken hatte, es nicht zuende zu lesen. In der ersten Hälfte, fand ich die Handlung teilweise sehr schleppend, aber das Durchhalten hat sich gelohnt.

Ich habe die beiden Vorgänger gelesen, die schon toll waren und war daher etwas skeptisch was jetzt noch kommen soll, zumal ich nach dem zweiten Teil mir ja so meine Gedanken gemacht habe und ich muss sagen, ich wurde wieder überrascht! Die Geschichte ist so schön und doch realistisch. Ich habe das Buch auf einer New York Reise gelesen was ein besonders i- Tüpfelchen war! Man sollte vorher Teil eins und zwei lesen!

Mein Herz in zwei Welten ist eine schöne Geschichte von einer jungen Frau, die auf der Suche nach sich selbst ist. Mutig und ehrlich verfolgt sie unbeirrt ihren Weg...

Zunächst einmal muss ich der mutigen Autorin meinen allergrößten Respekt aussprechen, ihre lebensgefährlichen Recherchen haben uns einen tiefen und auch erschreckenden Einblick in das schwarze Herz des IS und anderer islamistischer Terrororganisationen gewährt. Dass es ihr an Selbstbewußtsein keineswegs mangelt, merkt man schnell, aber man muß auch sagen: zu recht! Manchmal ist das Buch etwas sprunghaft, aber immer spannend geschrieben. Auch ihre Reportage über die arabischen Flüchtlinge am Wiener Hauptbahnhof 2015 sollten die enthusiastischen Willkommensjubler von München mal lesen. Im autobiographischen Teil betont sie auch die Diskriminierungen, die sie als Migrantenkind erlitten habe, diese beschränken sich aber auf Einzelpersonen und dürften verglichen mit dem Schrecken, den sie in islamischen Ländern selbst beschreibt, doch eher Petitessen sein. Der Reportage-Teil hätte sicher 5 Sterne verdient. In ihrer Reflektion des Erlebten spart sie zwar keineswegs an Kritik zu den Vorgängen in der islamischen Welt. Aber ihre Kritik bleibt stets systemimmanent.So zeigt sie Verständnis für die grenzenlose Empörung in islamischen Ländern zu Mohammed-Karikaturen und behauptet, das würde es auch im Christentum geben und es würde mit zweierlei Maß gemessen. Das ist eigentlich kaum nachzuvollziehen, man denke nur an das "Titanic"-Titelbild mit gelbem Fleck vorn und braunem hinten auf der Papst-Soutane um "undichte Stellen im Vatikan" zu illustrieren. Auch dass sie normalerweise auf Verschleierung verzichtet, begründet sie nur damit, dass der Koran dies nicht verlange. Was aber, wenn er es doch täte? Generell vermisst man eine Betrachtungsweise auf der Meta-Ebene über den Islam und die Auswirkung von Religionen an sich, auch das Christentum hatte ja ähnliche Vorgänge

Die Vorschau hat nicht zu viel versprochen. Das Buch ist spannend wie ein Krimi. Zugleich aber auch voller Mitgefühl. Ein eindringlicher Einblick in einen der spannendsten Konflikte unserer Zeit.

Wer sich für das Thema interessiert und hinter die Kulissen der jüngsten großen Überschriften blicken möchte, sollte dieses Buch lesen. Es ist ein Augenöffner, dessen neutrale Sicht auf die Dinge hilft, manches klarer zu sehen und sich dadurch liest wie ein Krimi. Bewundernswert ist der Mut und die Intelligenz der Autorin.

Ein absolutes Must have . Meiner Meinung nach gehört das Buch in der heutigen Zeit zur Allgemeinbildung um überhaupt eine Meinung über das ganze zu bekommen . Gerade Menschen die hier in ihren warmen Häusern sitzen und über Flüchtlinge schimpfen würde ich dieses Buch sehr empfehlen ;)

Eine fesselnde Geschichte! Wer einen Roman erwartet ist hier falsch. Fakten, Hintergründe und eigene Erlenisse sind detailliert aufgeführt. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!

Intelligent und analytisch geschrieben, mit einem angenehm neutralen aber nicht zu sachlichen Blick auf das Thema.Kann hier nur meine Empfehlung aussprechen!

Wahnsinnig spannendes Buch mit einer Leichtigkeit geschrieben, die neidisch werden lässt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

First, I love the cover! This is a well researched book with plenty of facts and humble skepticism. I am rather ignorant about fashion, nevertheless, this book kept me interested because her long life journey passed through so many storms and festivities, it helped to understand the history of the 20th century, particularly the art world through her connections with artists. As it is very common with successful, extraordinary women in history, her indefatigable spirit and determination toward her work and survival are what makes her an extrarordinary human being, much more than a fashion icon.

Lisa Chaney promises an "intimate look" but does not deliver...the book is filled with facts about the war, how the countries are affected by the war, how the war affects the economy, the tedious backgrounds on Chanel's lovers, etc. When Chaney does mention Coco (whom she annoyingly refers to as "Gabrielle", although everyone called her Coco), it is a stale, tired bit of information that has been published many times.....this book is a waste of time and money....instead, read "The Improbable Return of Coco Chanel", written by her assistant, Richard Parker...

This is an In -depth biography of Gabrielle Chanel with a more candid view of her than previous books about her. It does a good job of conveying the social and political norms of Chanel's times. Chanel was a fascinating yet tortured woman who helped shape the idea of womanhood in our modern era. She influenced much more than just fashion. She had the courage and instinct to risk the accepted norms of her time. She gave woman the freedom to dress and act without the restrictions of the stilted past.

I have been interested in the life story of Chanel for some time.Such a dark cloud hung over this woman it's surprising she maintainedher creativity.No holds barred pertaining to social stigmas, wealth and poverty.I'm finding it so detail oriented that it puts one in the era with aclear understanding of the struggles due to the customs and beliefsof that time.If you have an interest this is some what of a historical documentation.I'm glad to have found it.

This is a very thoughtful biography, not just of the woman, but of the era. Gabrielle Chanel was a fascinating woman, who led a fascinating life in a time of great change, especially in the realm of the arts. Chaney captures this excitement in her writing, which reads almost like a novel.
